Call Home
A fictional video game concept made for a school assignment.
You play as Castle, a bored 19 year old who wants nothing more than to ditch his deadbeat hometown, though no matter how hard he tries, something keeps him from leaving.
After going through the motions day in and day out, you meet Ghost on a casual 2am walk around town.
You finally get some excitement in your life as you help Ghost figure out how she died by looking for clues, revisiting hazy memories, and meeting her past friends (and making new ones). The more you explore, the more you see yourself in your new floaty friend, and the more you begin to question if maybe, your meeting wasn’t luck of the draw.
What you, the player, don't know, is that you are working towards breaking a time loop, and that Castle wanting to leave is an analogy for death. By helping Ghost find more about her past, the more friends you make, the more reasons you find to enjoy life, and, if you make the right choices, you’ll break the time loop and prevent Castle from becoming the next Ghost, doomed to repeat the cycle.
Commisions
The Process
After getting in contact, I will provide you with an estimated quote for pricing, based on detail, complexity, and use. These numbers will be broad, as I like to leave lots of room to play with and make sure you’re okay with the absolute maximum price to avoid any conflict down the line. After that, we’ll brainstorm together. I’ll bounce ideas off of you to see what you’re envisioning, and send you lots of different concept sketches until we settle on a very rough draft.Once we get to an agreement on the concept, I ask that you pay roughly half of the quote upfront. (ie. $75 - $125 quote = pay $50 upfront) This is to protect myself and my work from any scams as an artist. From there, I start working! I’ll send you lots of updates throughout, and you can let me know of any adjustments and tweaks you’d like made. All updates will be sent with heavy watermarking. Once we both get to a finished product we’re both content with, I’ll send you one last watermarked version for you to approve of, and I’ll let you know the final priceOnce you’re happy, you’ll pay the rest of the cost of the commission. After payment is received I’ll email you high quality, unwatermarked versions of your art!
